Making Dreams Come True 1 Mile at a Time
Our goal is to help make the dreams of Michigan children come true. Our team began participating together in the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan Wish-A-Mile 300 bicycle ride in 2009. This was our first year as a team, but several members have ridden the tour in previous years.
The WAM 300 is a three day 300 mile bicycle tour from Traverse City to Chelsea. The riders go approximately 100 miles per day through rain or shine. They battle hills on top of hills from the beginning of the ride to the end, but if you ask any of the 800 riders that participate they will all say that it is worth every push of the pedal just to see a smile on a Wish Hero's face at the Heroes Hurrah once they arrive in Chelsea. According to the riders the 300 miles on a bicycle is nothing compared to what many Michigan families have to go through every day, sometimes for years at a time. If all it takes is three days on a bicycle to alleviate, even if just for a few hours, a familes tough times, it is worth every sore muscle, bruise, or saddle sore that you could get on the ride.

Our goal for WAM 2010 is to grant two wishes as a team. This will entail raising about $16,000. With your help we WILL make this happen.
